What is Energy Healing?

Energy is literally everything, & everything is energy. Every particle of matter is vibrating energy. Every emotion, every being, everything in Creation is energy in some way.

Energy healing works with the energetic nature of everything that is and is grounded in the reality of our nature as energetic beings who are constantly swimming in and surrounded by energy by the nature of All that Is.

In part, energy works through the chakra system which is the underlying basis of our human experience. The chakras give rise to all of our human experiences through our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies which interpenetrate and influence one another constantly.

Blockages and interruptions in the flow of life force (also called Chi or Prana) reflect as blocks, illnesses, disease and disharmony in our lives. Ancient Eastern traditions, American shamanic lineages and many ancient, Indigenous and Earth-God based cultures founded their medicine and societies on the understanding of the reality of energy dynamics.

Energy works at a causal level to unblock, re-pattern and heal the body holistically. Changing things on a deep inner level leads to changes in consciousness, body and your experience of the external world.

Healing is a unique process and experience for each individual. Each healing situation and experience is unique based on an innumerable host of factors that contribute to an individual’s experience in any given moment and situation.

My experience and training has made it clear to me that each of us is ultimately our own inner healer. The healer is someone who can help you along your path by helping clear your body, show you where you can stand in your own power and wisdom, give you tools, and gain awareness to self-actualize.

In research on energy healing done by Alberto Villoldo at San Francisco State University found that they "were able to increase the production of endorphins, the natural brain chemicals responsible for reducing pain and for creating ecstatic states, by nearly 50 percent utilizing the techniques of energy healing", as noted in Shaman, Healer, Sage.

Is What I Do Reiki?

This is, to date, by far the most common question I’ve gotten in my career as a Healer. And what I can offer in healing, it’s much more than Reiki. In addition to Reiki, which is the tip of the healing-awareness iceberg, I have been extensively apprenticing, studying and working in the healing arts for over a dozen years.

Most importantly, God, Great Creator, is foundational at the center of all healing work I engage in. Energy, energy work and working effectively with energy princples that are grounded in reality, is at the center of the work that I do.

While I’m not a medical doctor, I do liken the anaology to I’ve been so immersed in the healing arts its been like going to school, then medical school, then residency, then post-residency then going through professor-level training! I’ve dedicated the last decade and a half of my life to this and so when I get asked if I do Reiki, it can be a challenge to explain that I’m able to work with a vast spectrum of healing resources from many angles.

I have a unique niche in the healing arts that I’ve worked diligently to cultivate and be able to meet people where they are at with the needs they have in a given moment. I’ve been dedicated to the art of healing! And if you’re interested to know, I am certified Reiki Master in Traditional Usui Reiki. Reiki is a healing tool that I can integrate into healings if requested. Please see my About page for a full list of trainings and qualifications I have embarked on in my journey to serve as and be the Healer God would have me be.

What’s more important to me than the specific healing modalities is my personal intention in directing healing through my hand and body is praying to only allow God’s highest divine pure love and light to flow through me. This is essential to doing clean and clear healing work. Healing is about supporting a person’s natural God-given ability to heal themselves by allowing God’s healing energy to flow through.

While those who are genuine Healers will utilize their own God-given gifts, skills, and abilities to allow God’s creative life force healing energy to flow through, it is not the healer’s own energy that ought to be used in a clean and clear healing, the healer calls on our Creator, the highest power, to flow through and support healing.

I personally feel strongly the most important thing healing in general (including Reiki) is that the energy come from pure source/God/divine love and that includes the practitioner taking excellent care of themselves to be in healthy alignment spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.

My training includes a wide variety of methods that blend together to create effective and well-informed healing to my clients. I have an extensive education and well-founded certification background, along with a widening array of tools and techniques to address specific concerns in the body, and an in-depth study of the underlying energetic anatomy of our lives.

As Alberto Villoldo, master healer and shaman says in Shaman, Healer, Sage, "true healing is nothing less than an awakening to a vision of our healed nature and the experience of infinity". This has everything to do with vision and Spirit and techniques are secondary.

This is why, as a practitioner, it is a priority for me to continually engage in self care, treat my body with respect, and tend to my own healing work so I can be at my best as a Healer. Deepening my connection to nature and Spirit is also essential to doing this work and being my best.

How did I start doing this work?

What got me here?

When I was 15, I was diagnosed with a severe case of an autoimmune disease after experiencing some potentially life-threatening symptoms. At the time, I thought the best thing I could do for my life was to accept that I would be ill and medicated the rest of my life.

So, I didn’t do what most people do at that age - dreaming of what my life could be and resolved to make the best out of my situation. I was heavily medicated with pharmaceutical drugs that also wreaked havoc on my body for years and were at times inappropriately prescribed with no lifestyle medicine support. This went on for five for five years until I experienced a potent spiritual and body awakening.

As if I had been struck with a lightning bolt of awareness, I intuitively changed nearly my entire diet and initiated changes in my lifestyle. For months, I had no outside help in the form of doctors, mentors, friends, or family to help or who were on a similar path of awakening and health. My doctor specifically told me diet had nothing to do with my condition, and to my awareness, I'd never been exposed to information saying otherwise.

I had been eating a standard American diet :(SAD) and growing up in the Midwestern United States, and that was all I knew. So, it was an abrupt change for me to listen to my body's clear guidance of what to eat and what not to eat. It has been an ongoing journey that I’m still discovering, and hardly knew where to start with not much of a knowledge base to work with!

Within a few months of making changes, I was thinking about what I ate and didn't eat. To my surprise, I realized I ate only plant-based foods, which I continued for wholly for thirteen years to give my body the opportunity to heal itself.

I made massive progress through changing my diet and within six months, energy healing found me. This was a turning point and a huge relief to feel have some additional support on my journey. Although it made intuitive and some rational sense, I was hesitant at first since this was new.

To me, it was a foreign world, and if I hadn’t been in need to discovering new insight and pathways to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life, I may have dismissed the idea of energy healing entirely. I also wasn't in the habit of asking for help yet so I was hesitant.

Nonetheless, my mind was open enough to give energy healing a chance. I was hungry to change my life for the better, no matter what it took. Ever since then, I've been apprenticing, studying and practicing the healing arts.

In the process of my own healing journey, I've discovered that my passion to create a healthy and more loving and healthy world is intimately tied to my healing process. Doing this work has given me a life back I never thought or dreamed I'd have, and shown me ways to contribute to the beyond anything I thought was possible.

In the process, I have studied and learned a great deal about health, human thriving, and the food system which has me deeply concerned about the well-being of humanity, and inspired to share what I learned that is grounded in reality and aligned with God’s highest, to the best of my ability.

What was a heartbreaking health crises has turned into a blessing that keeps growing. There have been great challenges and more to overcome along the way. Yet, engaging with my divine calling as a Healer has led to my path of awakening.

My life has meaning and I'm dreaming. I am deeply committed to finding and sharing ways to live in thriving health, while having fun making a serious dent in the universe to raise up the quality of life on Earth. I am dedicated to doing my part to embody and build God’s divine plan for Heaven on Earth.

What is Positive Psychology?

Positive Psychology is the scientific study of human flourishing. According to Positive Psychology pioneer Chris Peterson, it can be summed up as "other people matter".

Positive Psychology is not thinking positively all of the time, or happiology. It is about fully experiencing the wide range of human emotions and experience while leveraging our strengths to thrive.

While traditional medicine and psychology have examined our illnesses and neuroses, the focus of Positive Psychology going beyond getting to a baseline well-being and going north of neutral (see diagram below).

Absence of illness does not equal thriving health. The important thing is to start where you are and move forward with self-compassion and kindness.

Positive psychology gives us insight and evidence-based practices into how we can "show up in the way we want to" (Dr. Shrikumar Rao).

Truly rooted in hope, the burgeoning science of Positive Psychology indicates that no matter where we are on the spectrum of the Illness-Wellness Continuum in any given moment or way, there opportunity to access greater thriving is often available.

This is especially the case as we work towards the goal of leveraging more of humanity out of suffering and survival into greater thriving and wellness. We have a long way to go, with great challenges to deal with collectively.

Yet, with focused effort, will to direct our attention and resources, and clear intention, we can move forward into more grounded & genuinely enlightened ways of living (I’m speaking of ways of living that serve the highest of humanity’s evolution and the unfolding of God’s divine plan while respect free will and being in right relationship.)

———————————————————————————————————————-

An important note on science, cultural colonization and respect of the inherent sovereignty of all beings: While Positive Psychology, like all True science, does not hold the answers and is an ongoing questioning to greater clarity of Truth, it can provide support to work with our humanness to leverage our lives for optimal health and thriving.

It’s important that cultural diversity and perspectives are respected in the application of any and all science, which has often been dominated by Western ways of thinking, which often are not grounded in reality and have frequently perpetuated great harm.

It’s essential and vitally important to respect the God-given sovereignty of all beings relationship with God and bodily Rights to sovereignty and discernment.

Positive psychology can offer supportive information to aid and assist our own growth process as people, and tune into our own innate wisdom and body’s divine intelligence.

I intend to apply knowledge and wisdom with great respect to the dynamic interplay of the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine and grounded in the divine Truth of the Spiritual Equality of all beings.
